Sustainability at Citrusmade: a concrete choice, every day

Today, sustainability is talked about more than ever. A concept that cannot remain theoretical, but must translate into real, measurable, everyday actions. For Citrusmade, sustainability is not a trend, but a clear direction—one that has also guided the design of our new production facility.

A strategic location, at the heart of raw materials

Our facility is located in the Etna Valley, in a strategic position in close proximity to cultivation areas.

Being at zero kilometres from local agricultural production allows us to work with fresh, organic, high-quality raw materials, minimizing transportation and, consequently, reducing emissions.

A choice that combines production efficiency with environmental responsibility.

Clean energy: our photovoltaic system

One of the pillars of our sustainability is energy.

We have installed a 120 kW photovoltaic system, capable of covering 100% of our company’s energy needs. This allows us to power our operations using renewable energy, reducing environmental impact and making our production process more autonomous and sustainable.

In numbers, the production of 120 kWh of energy avoids the emission of approximately 60–65 kg of CO₂ into the atmosphere—our active contribution to reducing the carbon footprint of businesses.

Responsible water management

Water is a precious resource, which is why we have developed a dedicated management system.

We have implemented a rainwater collection and recovery system, allowing us to reuse it for various internal purposes, optimizing consumption and reducing waste.

Waste: zero waste, 100% sorted

Waste management is also an integral part of our commitment.

At Citrusmade, we adopt a fully sorted waste collection system, enabling us to separate and manage 100% of the waste produced. An approach that reduces environmental impact and promotes resource recovery and reuse.

Sustainability as a vision

From the choice of location to technological investments, every decision is oriented toward a more responsible production model.

For us, sustainability means reducing environmental impact, enhancing the value of the territory, optimizing resources, and building a more conscious future.
