January 23rd is not just any date for Citrusmade: this year we celebrate our eighth anniversary. A milestone that invites us to look back for a moment: we started from just 6 square meters, with a clear idea and a strong determination.
Eight years later, this journey has taken us far — and most importantly, it has led us to open the doors of our new headquarters in Paternò, officially inaugurated on December 23rd in the presence of friends, clients, collaborators, and partners.
An occasion that marked the beginning of a new chapter in our story.
110 square meters dedicated to research
The heart of the new headquarters is our 110-square-meter chemistry laboratory — a space where research meets technology. Here, we can perform all routine analyses and R&D activities for our products, relying on the best equipment on the market.
The laboratory is now equipped with next-generation chromatographs, mass spectrometers, and advanced systems for studying the chirality of essential oils.
These technologies enable extremely refined, accurate, and comparative analyses — essential for guaranteeing quality, purity, and olfactive consistency.
A multidisciplinary team
Bringing the laboratory’s work to life is a team composed of chemists, cosmetologists, and pharmacists. Each follows a specific segment of our development: essential oils, flavors, fragrances, cosmetics.
An approach that allows us to engage with different industrial sectors in a qualified and competent way.
Tailor-made — even more than before
This new laboratory allows us to take an additional step toward what is already one of our defining traits: tailor-made production.
Thanks to new equipment and internal expertise, we are now able to move between the cosmetic and food sectors, designing and developing products that respond precisely to our clients’ needs.
Beyond citrus
While citrus fruits remain our starting point, they are no longer our only horizon. Alongside lemon, orange, bergamot, mandarin, and grapefruit, we also work with other natural raw materials, expanding the aromatic, functional, and applicative range of our ingredients.
